It’s a Zaar party

Away from banging, hitting, hammering, whacking, taking out evil spirit and the stupid movies about the Zaar .It’s been obvious now the Zaar is a very interesting thing to see. The Zaar is a special kind of cultural performance; its music is played using drums and mandolin, accompanied with a local singer, singing songs like the “Mawwal”. The two important figures now are Madeeha and Omm Sameh who are the leaders of Mazaher band.
Mazaher are performing a Zaar concert/party every Wednesday at the Egyptian center for culture and art “Makan”.
